Our story

GoWonderia began as two dads designing screen-free learning toys, the WonderPad and Prism's Awakening, sold on Amazon in Spain and the UK. Now we help parents choose well.

Updated

We used to make toys. Now we help parents choose them.

GoWonderia started in 2024 with two lifelong friends, both dads, who wanted their children to learn through play that did not depend on a screen. We designed our own Montessori-inspired products: the WonderPad, a tracing tablet with a transparent pressure-sensitive screen and 40 cards for practising lines, shapes, letters and numbers; the Prism's Awakening building playset; and a series of fantasy stories that turned practice into an adventure. We sold them on Amazon in Spain and the United Kingdom, and families wrote to us and reviewed them.

What making toys taught us

  • Safety paperwork is real work. Selling a toy means meeting the toy-safety standard of each market and proving it to the marketplace. We went through those reviews ourselves, so we know what the marks on a box are supposed to mean.
  • The best toys are the ones children come back to. Families told us what their children used every day and what they dropped after a week. That is the pattern we now look for in every product.
  • Parents are short on time, not on care. The hardest part was never the price. It was knowing which of a hundred similar products was worth it.

What GoWonderia is now

A small, careful guide to premium toys and learning tools for children from one to eight, written in English and Spanish for families in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Mexico and the rest of Latin America. We research rather than run a test lab, and we explain exactly how in how we choose. We earn through affiliate links, which never decide our picks: see our affiliate disclosure.

Who writes the guides

Guides are written and edited by Idan Yehuda, co-founder of GoWonderia and one of the two dads behind the WonderPad, with research help from AI assistants. Every pick and every safety fact is checked against its sources before it is published. Idan is a product manager by trade, which mostly means he reads the fine print for a living.
